Need some help

Hi,

I am looking to do a few bike rides in the future and I need a new bike suitable for long distances (80 miles, 120 miles). The problem is that I am very limited to a budget of £400. I have browsed through the forums and have gotten confused on which bike is best for me. I am also 6ft 5" so I will be looking for a frame around 62cm. Can anyone recommend a bike which I could use for these 80 and 120 mile rides?

Thanks.

With that budget you need to be looking for a used bike.

A friend of mine done 80 miles on https://www.discountbicycles.co.uk/bi...cing_bike_2009

I'm not really sure on what to look for on a bike for long distances, any suggestions?

Edit: I was looking at a Giant Defy, but I can't find a large frame

Giant Defy is SUPERB if you can get one. Don't be confused by frame sizes... Giant measure a medium at 50cm - the actual comparison size is 54.5cm (horizontal top tube). An XL should fit you. The Defy 4 is only a little over budget and it's the same frame throughout the alloy part of the range.
