I was going for an 800 mile month but considering that it's January 1000 k might be more reasonable.

1000 plus done in Jan.

Last year I had 3 months with 1000 plus, and a total of about 10K. Don't think I'll see any increase this year.

Some of training days were with snow cowered motorway next to Uzhhorod. But, lucky it was clear of last week.

Till I had no posibility to ride a bike in any weather I used to three roller track

Thankfully snow melted, and we managed to get a great winter tour in the south of South Korea in... Just squeezed in over 1000km including the much hated indoor cycling... ouch!! Good start to the year. How's everyone else making out?

1002 km in the month of March!! Rowan and I have cycled our first 1000 km month in 2011.

We've been cycling up a storm this month! Some of that distance was on tandem, but most was on our singles. Some of the cycling was in our immediate area, and some was further afield in other areas of our state.

All the photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/machka-...7626200139988/ are from our March rides.

About half the photos here (the last half): https://www.flickr.com/photos/machka-...7623312198466/ are from one particular weekend in March.

I trudged out another plus 1000km month (1012). I wish we had the weather in the pics above, but spring has just started to spring.

I'm definitely psyched to get on the MTB now that the snow has melted though... less KM, but a good change of pace.

Down is up - under is summer - whoah - just reminded me of the guy who rode all the way around Australia -who was that guy? I think he did RAAM too. Bummer on the terrible coastal flooding, hope things are better for those folks. (and now Japan)

One thing, shouldn't you mount the chain rings and chain/gears on the left-side of the frame? Just sayin'.

I'm unlikely to get 1000 miles in a month this year, but I did crack 1000 kms for April: 1217 in total, my most ever in a month. Helps when you have 700 kms worth of brevets in a month (2X200, 1X300).

I don't really consider myself a long distance cyclist, but I have at least 1200km in every full month so far this year.

My best month is March when I spent 8 days in Spain and did nothing but ride and eat.

Rowan and I cycled 42 km today bringing our total kilometres in October to 1002.9 km.

We've done the first 1000 km month since last March. 1000 km of cycling this month, including 1 century (100 mile) ride, and numerous rides of other lengths in the area where we live, on the border of Victoria and NSW (along the Murray River and Lake Hume), and along the ocean to the south (where we are now ).

We split the riding between our tandem, our single titaniums, and a couple short rides on our touring bicycles.

I got 322 in last week, and tomorrow is November. Does it have to be a calendar month?

I made 1050 this October. I normally target 600 to 750 Kilometers per month.

October was the second biggest mileage month of the year for me, with almost 1500 km; only in May did I do more than that. It's odd that May and October were the best months for me in this respect. This year, only in January and February did I not ride 1000 km, but I did still manage at least 700 per month.

My yearly total is now at almost 12,000 km, so only 500 km to go to break my one-year record (set just last year), with two months to do it in - I'm pretty confident on that front.

BTW, most of my riding is in mountainous areas (mainly the Alps and Jura mountains of Switzerland and France), so my speed is not as high as it would be in flatter terrain. The amount of climbing is often a more important statistic for me than is the distance ridden. For that reason, maybe next year I should post a thread about a "20,000 meters climbing per month challenge"; however, that would be a lot harder to keep up with during the winter months. Maybe a goal of 10,000 meters per month would be more realistic.
