A tough rainy day on our beautiful (now very muddy) Pinarello Tandem. My beautiful stoker kept me motivated all day long.

It was a tough day. Rain, wind and cold all rolled into one ride. I was in the rain for 120 miles and headwind for 100 miles. It never got much over 52 degrees for the day and no sun. I was doing very well for the first 100 into Morro Bay 5:53, then it was time to head south and the wind started blowing. The rest of the day was rain blowing into your face. When I stopped for lunch you normally can sit down and enjoy your lunch, but there was no cover and no place to sit except in the rain on wet ground or mud, fun. This whole weather thing went right along with Motel 6 giving away my room, guaranteed with a CC, that morning and me having no room in Buellton.
