Motivation of Recreational Endurance Cyclists Questionnaire

Hi folks,

I'm a third year student at the University of Cumbria and am currently conducting my dissertation on what motivates recreational endurance cyclists, when they reach their physical and psychological barrier. I would really appreciate any long distance cyclists filling out the survey it only takes about 10 minutes. The more responses the better.

Heres the website just copy and paste into your search bar, Cheers!

It would help if you could describe a bit more explicitly what the criteria are for taking part in the survey; currently all you have said is "any long distance cyclists" - that is a bit vague, and everyone has a different definition of it that vary widely. To avoid this turning into another thread about the definition of terms like this, maybe you should give your own.

Well, I did the survey, but you neglected to put "because it's fun and you like challenges and get to ride with your friends" in there as a choice. In other words, none of the choices apply to me at all, that I can see.

At the very top, it says "whereby you exerted yourself beyond the physical and mental 'barriers' ('Bonking')." What the heck does that mean? That you're only interested in people that bonk and keep riding anyway? Or do people that snarf enough Twinkies and Mountain Dew to avoid bonking while they ride for 20 hours qualify?

Survey not in approved format or area. Good constructive feedback so far, but locking the thread. Feel free to participate in the (hopefully) new and improved survey that I'm sure the OP will be posting in the appropriate forum- https://www.bikeforums.net/forumdispl...sumer-Feedback
