Hundred For Hope- My first century!!!

I was so excited this past weekend to ride my first century!! A good friend of mine joined me on this ride that I undertook because my daughter asked me how far I can ride. So I decided to find out! As a suicide attempt survivor myself, it was important for me to show the world how far I'd come, and more importantly, prove to my 4 year old daughter that anything is possible with hard work.

109mi from Washington, NC to Nags Head, NC on the Outer Banks. It was incredible!!! We can't wait to go again next year, and we already agreed to make it into a big event, and bring other first time century riders with us!! We have a cool Facebook page if you want to see our story! facebook.com/hundredforhope

here's some photos!

Great job, great pictures. I'll bet that the look in your little girl's eyes made it all worth the effort.

The weather was downright pornographic. 85 and sunny, low humidity. And once we got to the Outer Banks, it was like 75. Could not have asked for a better weather day. It was one of those days where everything is so pretty, you just kind of start praying spontaneously.

Already can't wait for next year!
