Fleche is next weekend and my steed is finally perfect
Been a long road but my ideal long brevet/touring/fleche bike is finally problem free and working just the way I want her to. Roll on next week so I can take her for a 24 hour long ride.

OK, I'll ask. Why two rack and the rack bag being so high?
Also, I don't like where you've put your rear red lights.
Apart from that, enjoy.

I have the two racks. Lower one is for carrying my batteries and tools for long rides (I don't leave without the workshop in the plastic box). Upper one I usually run on the roadie but I tried it on a 280km ride and its very useful for food and clothes. I don't have a lot of cash to spend on buying food so I pack everything I'm likely to need the night before. Since a backpack is a pain that particular rack gives me a lot of space and some super reflective panniers. Its high to clear the small plastic tool box and put the the second red light as obnoxiously viewable as possible. Korean drivers are blind during the day and twice as bad at night. Also means the panniers are catching on the bottom rack and never ever get close to the wheel.
Its a heavy rig but I've ridden heavy rigs long for years so it doesn't bother me. Right now its hot during the day and cold at night so I know that anything I wear at the start won't be enough at 2am. Extra room to carry stuff is good. There are also two extra rear lights on the rear rack just in case. Have spare rechargeable batteries for everything (single use batteries are wasteful!) and a booster to run both the Garmin (again not really needed running AA with spares but... better to safe than sorry) and the phone - which is old and has the worlds crappiest battery life.

Very interesting. This goes to show any bike can be a brevet bike. Is that suspension fork somewhat firm? I couldn't imagine riding my mountain bike w/ suspension fork very long.

Its a rockshox tora. height adjustable from 90-120mm and lockable. Gives me a ton of flexibility. I can rig for upright/rough terrain or smooth road with a more aero posture.
In 30 seconds I can go from road cruising to fire road/mild single track ready. Its actad geavy in this configeration for single track though. Came in useful on the last brevet. Muddy dirt and gravel section. Road bikes walking, me cruising along no difference.
