I thought I'd try something different this weekend. I started peddling 3pm yesterday with what I thought was a full meal and the needed supplies for a long trek. 7 hours later I found out when I got a bit peckish that I had forgotten to pack my meal and all I had was a lime Liberte yogurt, 3L of water, 1 protein shake with beta-analine/L-glutamine stack. I'm pretty sure I lost a couple pounds of muscle haha. I never imagined pushing myself to my limits (constantly) could be so much fun. 1 memorable place I visited was Shekinah Retreat Centre (Saskatchewan). I think they have the fastest hill I've ever descended. I forgot the mount for my led 700 lumen light so I used electrical tape (for flats) to mount the light onto my helmet. I went up and down this hill reaching speeds up to 70km terrified as I hit every hole and bump I (bumps like speed bumps) with my hardtail, haha fun fun. Their trails are great for night riding, lots of little hills and some massive roots that seem to come out of nowhere. I will attach a video of one of the trails and post some pictures. I forgot to bring gloves 7'C above and rain.. Rain... Made it a challenge after a while to hold a camera. I was thinking of selling my camera, but I'm so glad I didn't. On the way back I couldn't tell which way was north or south lol. I must have bicycled 30km in the wrong direction against the wind convinced I was heading south hahaha.
I've never been on these trails before. It's very cool, it kind of reminded me of the dead forest in the hobbit.
