Billie Fleming

I had a quick search and couldn't see any reference to this but thought it might be of interest to people here.

Earlier this month Billie Fleming died. Record-breaking cyclist from Bideford care home passes away aged 100 | North Devon Journal

In 1938 she started a challenge to ride her bike every day for a year and covered a total of 29,603.7 miles. This is still the official 'most miles in a year' women's record afaik. All done riding a 3 speed.
