Switching saddles… from Toupe to the...
Hi to All-
I need to find a saddle more fit for longer riding. I ride typically twice weekly for 50-90 miles per ride, but I am going to try and increase my riding by adding an early morning trainer session before work.
My saddle fits me well, but it starts to become uncomfortable around 75 miles. I currently ride the S-Works Toupe (b/c I'm a weight weenie), so I'd like to get some recommendations about something that would fit similarly and not make my bike into a boat anchor.

lots of long distance riders use Fizik saddles. The alliante is popular. You might also consider one of the weight weenie Rivet or Selle Anitomica saddles.

I'm again becoming a fan of the Selle Anatomica. I have a new waterproof one in the Titanio X grade (I weigh 185 to 195 depending), and I'm getting the position dialed in nicely (finally!). It's on a 650b so not a weight weenie, so who cares about my steel rails?

I find your steel rails warp the time space continuum, which disturbs my sleep patterns. Ok, so that's not really true, but the OP did mention weight, which is why I mentioned that there are weight weenie leather saddles that might suit
I'm not much of a weight weenie myself, but I have never used my leather saddle while randoing because the thought of that much weight on the bike just stops me from getting out the wrenches. Silly, no doubt

I sure like the San Marcos Regal'e. It's like a Brooks Pro, but keeps it's shape. it has the sit bone divots built right in. After I don't know how many saddles, this one is a keeper. I bought another one for a backup.

I love my S-A but in my experience its waterproof qualities are way overstated. A few long rides in summer downpours and you will be adjusting that tensioning bolt as far as it will go. When there is any chance of rain on a ride, mine has a Brooks cover protecting it.

Check out the Vader VD-104. Aside from the dorky name it's the perfect combination of flatness/curviness, slimness/wideness, softness/hardness, dorkiness/sexiness. All that and it costs $10.
