3 days at its fastest and 21 days is the longest. I'm not in too much a hurry since retirement. All good.
Here's the PBK policy on standard US shipping - 3 to 8 business days. So maybe I shouldn't have any expectations, but I unfortunately do expect them to follow their stated policy. However, if delivery exceeds 8 business days, you have to wait the whole 30 calendar days before they'll even consider taking any action. And who knows how long that'll take. Trust me, the money isn't the issue for me. I'm one of those people that thinks "hey, you say you're gonna do something, then either do it or eff off..."
PBK shipping standards
The solution remains to buy within your borders. Doubtful U.S. distribution points are the issue as delivery is always prompt from North Carolina, Utah or California.
I recommend Proaxekit. Didn't read the other posts, hoping this isn't a duplicate.
There's a wood splitting community? What is their version of the 41? Do they buy equipment from PWSK (pro wood splitting kit) and complain about shipping times?
We are easy to spot though...usually missing a fingertip, finger, and/or have a nasty chainsaw scar right above the knee from that "one time".
Full disclosure: I've never ordered from PBK, but I do cut, split, and stack 7-8 cords a year. I can't help you with the slow shipping, but if you have any questions on wood, I'm your guy.
I usually get my packages within a week. That is until my last package of gp4ks which took a week and a half because they used a supply depot in Belgium as opposed to the UK. Never had a lost package.
Knowing international shipping as PBK does, they usually have a set protocol as any company who has a lot of international orders does. They know there are delays that are out of their hands and that's why they always wait past their estimated period for your order to arrive before taking action/ giving your case priority.
If you're angry you should be at the USPS (who handles all of PBK's packages in the US) who's in a money rut and has most recently cut back on people and depots.
I expect my $30 pro4's too. :)
This all is why I prefer to buy local, or at least US. Prices are closer than people realize once you add up all these little (sometimes large) inconveniences. I will pay money for consistency.
There is never a free lunch. A supplier willing to vastly undercut another in the same market is cutting corners someplace.
