This has been my experience as well. The item was shipped the day after order, but it gets hung up in customs. I'm not sure if the same happens with other UK websites, but PBK did their job, so don't blame them. I never order anything I need within a month, but it does get a bit frustrating when it goes beyond 3 weeks. Shipping times seem to slow down at the major holidays, so if ordering for xmas, do it well in advance.

Would it really hurt to say "Thanks" on the invoice? Wouldn't you say "thanks" to anyone that's been honest to you? Say you lost your phone and someone returned it?

I wasn't asking for a free gift or a coupon code neither.

It's called courtesy, WhyFi.

Invoice was probably sent by a base pay office monkey.. they are paid to get ordered shipped and packed so the OP won't *****.. not to customize every invoice.

When you hit it right, their prices are awesome.
I'd never order tubes or any other immediately necessary
item from them, but they are good for certain things.
Heck, it takes a week+ by UPS from Bike Tires Direct to
get to my house.
I wish more sellers would use USPS, like Cateye.

Off topic, but it does occasionally drop into the 30's in the winter months. For those not acclimated to these temps it makes life more enjoyable in the saddle.

I know, sounds ridiculous, but it does get cold here.
Often, we get the Canadian cold down here.
Don't know if I'll use them much, but I got the Elite for $45.
When I moved to Florida from Oregon, I thought I would never
need long pants or a coat again, but such is not the case.

On topic:
Last PBK item ordered on 9/20
"Despatched" on 9/22
Received on 10/7

I'll let you decide it that's fast, or not.

Here's the PBK policy on standard US shipping - 3 to 8 business days. So maybe I shouldn't have any expectations, but I unfortunately do expect them to follow their stated policy. However, if delivery exceeds 8 business days, you have to wait the whole 30 calendar days before they'll even consider taking any action. And who knows how long that'll take. Trust me, the money isn't the issue for me. I'm one of those people that thinks "hey, you say you're gonna do something, then either do it or eff off..."

The solution remains to buy within your borders. Doubtful U.S. distribution points are the issue as delivery is always prompt from North Carolina, Utah or California.

There's a wood splitting community? What is their version of the 41? Do they buy equipment from PWSK (pro wood splitting kit) and complain about shipping times?

I believe I am the only member of that community hooked up the interwebs.

We are easy to spot though...usually missing a fingertip, finger, and/or have a nasty chainsaw scar right above the knee from that "one time".

Full disclosure: I've never ordered from PBK, but I do cut, split, and stack 7-8 cords a year. I can't help you with the slow shipping, but if you have any questions on wood, I'm your guy.

I usually get my packages within a week. That is until my last package of gp4ks which took a week and a half because they used a supply depot in Belgium as opposed to the UK. Never had a lost package.

Knowing international shipping as PBK does, they usually have a set protocol as any company who has a lot of international orders does. They know there are delays that are out of their hands and that's why they always wait past their estimated period for your order to arrive before taking action/ giving your case priority.
If you're angry you should be at the USPS (who handles all of PBK's packages in the US) who's in a money rut and has most recently cut back on people and depots.

I expect my $30 pro4's too.

This all is why I prefer to buy local, or at least US. Prices are closer than people realize once you add up all these little (sometimes large) inconveniences. I will pay money for consistency.

There is never a free lunch. A supplier willing to vastly undercut another in the same market is cutting corners someplace.
