This is the new Ex. He will still crush your soul, but he will do so with a laid back, casual, SoCal 'tude.

If you're in town on the 22 of March there is going to be a good ride with a large ladies group up near Petaluma. There will be many current and former racers in the peloton. I think you'd enjoy it!

Nice valygrl. Hope you have a good time, and get some goody out out of the camp. To think, you're going to miss the **** show they scheduled next weekend up at Carter Lake. Though, the weather does seem to be looking better daily.

Getting ready to take a shower, make a Cobb salad and finish the bottle of wine I opened last night.

Nice ride today. Took a nap before I went out.

Paradigm shift in my approach to racing/training this year. Put the coach on hiatus, pulled back from a lot of travel, and decided to work my cycling into my life vs. the other way around. Been going at this hard for a lot of years. Success wayyyy beyond what I though I might achieve. Now injuries and other things are popping up, being at the butt end of the age group in a region with a plethora of talent is making things pretty hard relative to where I was on the pecking order.

So it's have fun in the moment. Not sure I heard the screen door slam and saw the big yellow taxi just yet. Big help having people with that new car smell energy to (hopefully) point in the right direction.

Sunday I showed some Cat 5's how to pin on numbers. That made me smile.

Reason #154 why SoCal does not suck:

I'm eating fresh avocado's off my tree. In February.

My brother (in San Diego) has different varieties of Avocado so he can pick one no matter what season it is.

I need to take a picture of a (Cat 1) teammate's number. He uses more pins than anyone I have ever seen. No more than a mm or two between each of them. Between him and another new addition, plus our holdovers, we've been taking up 2 of the three podium spots in most 45+ races. This past weekend we had two people in the winning break both days. A 4 man on Sat (took 1-2) and a 5 man Sunday. Feels good to have the team kicking some butt.

No matter the reason, if it brings a smile on, it's a good thing.

The trip is next month, I'll be around for the ****show, but I'm not doing it. I'm counting the days to AZ, I've been working too much lately, and I'm ready for a break.

Gotcha. We rode it on Monday, and the sand piled on the road was bad, and the wind was worse. It should be interesting.

I'm with you on that front. If I'm not bleeding by the time I'm done, I wonder what I did wrong.

One of my buddies got internet advice to use spray on contact cement. His wife will tell you do go that direction.
