love to race that course!
Damn, Teton, it would have been fun to meet you!

Hi everyone! Been gone for few months but checked on the progress everyone made and outstanding successes! The regulars all know that I've saved every dollar earned in finishes and primes since I started racing 7 yrs ago. Recently I went to put $ won at the state track champs into the trophy cup and my "money phone" was a little thinner due to post-it note IOU's my wife put in to cover her garage sale habit. Is that grounds for divorce or counseling?

Team Sky announced their TdF team and one of Dmitriy's guys made it.

Vasil Kiryienka – age 32 – BelarusThe Belarusian has gained widespread recognition for his tireless stints on the front of the peloton and is a key asset to the team on the climbs. His role will be to keep breakaways in check as well as helping to set the pace when the road ramps upwards.

As a junior, Vasil lived and trained in the US with Dmitriy.

Story with a happy ending but not massage related...

I swapped the Vector Power meters from my track bike to the tandem yesterday afternoon and cracked one of the accelerometer pods while tightening. I called Garmin and they overnighted a new one that I received this afternoon and installed it. The PM works perfectly. I wondered what the weak link would be if one swapped the Vector around to different bikes.

I was scheduled to get a saddle sore removed this week. It's been with me for about 8 months mostly because it took too long to convince my HMO that it needed to go. In the time it took for them to finally agree that it needed to be removed it (him really, I've named him 'lil Miguel) has apparently gone deep and requires I go under for surgery and considerable cutting.

I had the opportunity to discuss likely recovery with the doc the day before my scheduled surgery (they are apparently too busy to talk to patients before that ) and she felt recovery would be no less than 4 weeks off the bike.

I chose to reschedule for after the season in October/November. Miguel rejoiced by being a bit annoying this week.

I have some aspirations to go to road nationals to ride for a team mate, however he's being a head case and thinking of not going now, and I am not so sure I could be much help anyway... so the probability is dropping to 50/50 or less at this point.

Miguel still wants to go.

Not racing this weekend. Three folks I coach doing the State TT, go up to advise, get a ride in after. Spent the last week selling off things from the Reno house. Almost empty. Gotta be out in 9 days. Multiple offers and showings on SoCal. Just wrote an offer on a house up here. Fingers crossed this all comes together.

In Truckee breathing reduced O2 in a hotel room after a brief ride of loops around the hotel and about 30 cone turnarounds. Life is good.

Ugh, saddle sore that warrents it's own name, that is frightening.

I finally went to the doc for my sore wrist from a crash 6 weeks ago. Before I knew it I was getting a cortisone injection. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but note to self, do not ever google side effects of any medication which you have already taken.

Also, do I need a TUE for that? blah.

The really funny thing is the very first thing the doc said when I told him I was having pain and difficulty shifting my bike was that I should get DI2. I asked for a prescription, he said he could write it but it wasn't covered by insurance.

So Boulder.

Glad to see you back. I was just drafting up the Milk Carton ad.

Make the post-it notes payable upon demand.. we'll see how well that works out for you.

Rode for 20 minutes today after finishing up cleaning out the house and taking the last load to the rental. Close escrow tomorrow. Going to miss the State track champs because of a wedding.

Tomorrow is booked solid, work, paperwork, and house hunting. Year is turning out to be a bit of a write off.

I have not heard of this, sounds appealing. So they inject into the cyst thing and it shrinks away? At this point Miguel is basically a bump on my bottom.

Miguel? Yikes.

No Nats for me, especially a road race. A state ITT was plenty, thank you very much!

Valygrl, get out there and do your diligence and get that jersey! I know you will!

Appealing is a strong word. Yes, the shot goes into the cyst but it hurts enough to make one faint. The other aspect is that a physicians assistant can do the procedure so that it is easier to get an appointment if that is a problem.
