Me and Iverson, we're all about the game man.

This is from the game in question.

Lap three of four. This is what happened when I took the A-line a little to hot.

Still took the A-line on lap four...............cause...The Game, man.

Cklubmate had a hard crash on NYD. He's still in the hospital with a broken collarbone, 6 broken ribs, and a punctured lung. All things considered, he's still able to post to Facebook on his condition. Solo crash and he's not exactly sure what happened.

Who's idea was it to schedule a week long meeting in Seattle at the beginning of January. I thought I was uncomfortable in SoCal the last couple of weeks.

Any of you time triallists ever thought about doing a one year time trial?

Steve Abrahams, a well-known audax rider in the UK, is out to break the 76 year-old record for the most miles cycled in a calendar year. Shouldn't give him too much trouble, the record is only 75,065 miles. Makes this retiree feel pretty lazy - after all what else do I have to do with my time?

I wish him well. The links indicate he needs to ride appox. 205 miles a day, for 365 days. That's massive. So far it looks like he's averaging 170-180 miles per day. Given the current weather and time of year, I assume he has longer days/distances planned for the warmer seasons with more daylight.

Yup. On the website he indicates that he's planning to up the mileage as the days grow longer, and once he has "ridden himself fit". Clearly his standards with regard to fitness are a shade higher than mine.

Average 205 miles per day? That will take a lot of self-discipline, forget about the physical aspects. Can't imagine trying to do that. Of course, I've never ridden more than 200 Km in a day.

I just bought a used SRM for my TT bike, this one. I think I got a decent deal. Time will tell. Worst case, I can put it right back up there.

An SRM for under a grand is finding a supermodel passed out naked in your bathtub.

Very little downside.

You did well. I paid a grand for mine, a Red Yaw BB30 version, one version newer than yours although the spiders are the same and if course the cranks are different. SRM Colorado service is excellent, not that you'll have to deal with them for a while. I just had mine serviced last month when I swapped the rings for Red 22.

Not one of your better analogies. A passed out naked supermodel in a bathtub may be a significant problem and downside. However, this is another story although she turned out to be quite deadly.
