I have some Rabobank bib shorts, 3 sets. They are team colors so I only use them on the trainer. They're great for that, though. Made by AGU. I paid like $15 each for them during a Nashbar closeout sale.

Holy cow have I been productive this week. New bike is up and running:

Work in progress but it's getting there. Same with the TT bike...coach pointed out some things that might have contributed to a lousy power curve. Some pics:

Call me Tutor the Turtle.

I knocked a huge bunch of stuff off the task list; have house guests coming and am good to go there. No good deed goes unpunished though, I ended up adding a half dozen things to the list, including a fixit on the dishwasher where a hinge clip broke.

All week I've been having dinner late. I think tonight will be pizza delivery.

I had a nice dinner out with Mrs. Shovel. Up at 5am for what looks like two 18 hour days back to back with a blizzard in between that could screw any shot of training this weekend. The upside is that I had a good week of hard effort. I am at Nats race weight but nowhere near as strong. Lots of work to do but there is light at the end of the tunnel. My bike fit is not optimal either. It may take a few races to work it all out. I may be swapping stems between races.

Hey Ex, sounds like a reasonably happy birthday (at least the Venge part). Don't get to 55 too fast.

Sarah Hammer's husband, Andy Sparks, coached Martyn Irvine as well as Sarah. There is a video on FB of the race but it is still blocked in the US.

Just saw that frame hanging in my shop an hour ago. Very, very sexy. I have to believe more and more integrated brakes like that are on their way.

Hey, that's a great frame! I know three people who ride it and LOVE it.

Me, I'm thinking about a CAAD10. I might actually be able to afford it. We'll see how the season goes.

As I've said many times, I love my CAAD10. And given the price, it is a phenomenal value. Only one caveat: if bottom bracket creaking drives you crazy, you might reconsider. Mine started out fine, then maybe a dozen rides in, developed an extremely loud and consistent creak. It was almost unrideable. My shop guy did a great job (lube and loctite) quieting it. Lasted about a year (of light usage), and is now starting to creak again, though still subtle.
