gsteinb, I think the bulk of the price difference is the special "McLaren Team Orange" paint accents. Our SoCal crit meister has one. I'll ask him when I see his next week.
caloso, generally you want a TT bike on the smaller side so that you can get as low as possible. At the same time, depending on your personal body geometry, cockpit length can be more important -- as is my case.

Who is our moderator?
Funny, I've never been accused of being a shill before. Of course there's always a first time and if the shoe fits...

I was, but I was too moderate. According to the list it's a bunch of people who, other than Walter and G, haven't ever set foot here. So they are getting credit for doing nothing. We need to start a ruckus. Make them earn their $10 Amazon gift certificates.

I'm just saying there's something on the horizon that's going to drive the UCI bat**** and strike fear into Sand Diego TT crowd.

Sweet! But...only one bottle cage? You must be planning on short rides.

Better picture:
First ride is in the books - I haven't been on a bike like this, well, ever. Lots to get used to, but some guy took off from a stop light and I went after him, and there we were at 31+... oh my. Taking it out on Saturday for a century, goal is sub 5 hours.

Esteban, that's pretty sweet! A top drawer bike is quite the experience, isn't it? Good luck on the century this weekend! I'll be watching for you on Strava.

Yep - I'm still in 'get some amount of fitness then think about what's next' mode, and that has mean a lot of climbs and organized rides - I hope to graduate to something a bit smaller soon (my sense is I'm close, but lacking some confidence), but for now I went with the mid cage RD and 12-32 which gives me a pretty low bail out gear.

That CAAD 10.3 makes a GREAT crit bike, I found out today! By the way - Shovel - I removed the decals from the Corimas and the bike looks a million percent better when those wheels are on it.
