    Gained a couple of pounds through the holidays but I am back to 195 on my 6' 2" frame this past week. Also used a OMRON meter to check my body fat and it indicated 21.4% which is in the middle of the healthy range for a 51 year old man.

    187.3, despite indulging in way too many chocolate covered raisins the last few days, and this being a 'rest and test' week. All systems green from a weight perspective.

    5' 7" and 124, but it will drop a few pounds when the weather warms and I'm outside more. And yes, I'm a strong climber, even in my first year cycling.

    5' 7" and 124 lbs!!! I haven't been at that weight since, well...

    I am the same height.

    Between the flu, starting a gluten free diet, and eating less while on business travel, I am at 149 lbs (25 lbs more than gradedgraydad ). A few more pounds and I will be at my stretch goal for Valley of the Sun Stage Race.

    169 this AM. On the quad wang front, I measure my quads from time to time and they are up 1/4 inch. This is the first time in years that they are bigger.

    172 this AM with a resting HR of 53 which is high for me. Double workout yesterday rest day today. 172 feels great although not a great Mount Ventoux or Mount Lemmon race weight. Thankfully, I am not racing up either of them.

    I've done some real stupid stuff in my 55 years here on this rock but this one is near the top of the list.
    Whilst out for surgery on my collarbone I picked up the book "Racing Weight" by Matt Fitzgerald.

    I need to loose 5 - 6 pounds by May 10th. Is that possible, without loosing a bunch of what little power I have in the process?

    Why? You're not getting all caught up in the Ewang are you?

    Yes, it is possible with diet control but I have found that the best exercise for losing weight is long rides in the Z2 range. That may be counter to your plan.

    No, nothing like that - I've just gotten fat.

    Diet control will have to be the method. I am entered in the Bay Area Senior Games on May 10th, and it's nothing but climbing. I have to get a leg up, and power to weight is my best option. Besides, I've gained six pounds in the last seven months, and it needs to go. I can really feel it.

    Cutting back ~500 calories/day would do it, that's a pound/week.

    It's still there. Waiting on a call back from the ortho doc to find out when I can get screwed...back together. Surprisingly little pain, I'm just taking a couple of ibuprofen every so often, the Percocet and Soma are just sitting there. The bone docs that were recommended don't take Tricare, so I'm going with someone who does. The road rash is the more painful part right now.

    If you're like me the road rash seems to peak on about the the third or fourth day. I still have scars on my right knee from last August. Something about the "older we get..."

    I'd reduce my intake by 500, but there is no way I could survive on only 500 a day. When I went from, umm, a lot more than I weigh now down to a lot less (too much less, 118 pounds), I was limiting myself to 800 calories a day. I wasn't very strong!
