Not just flat, but slow, too. Way off my best time at the PCSD tonight. IOW, Esparto will suck. If c_gallaghe hadn't volunteered to ride SAG I'd be done.

WHT is going on???

I was 141.1 today. I'm 5'6". Are you my doppelganger?

5-ish pounds to go. I'm so ready to be there.

Damn Jet. You are totally kicking my butt. I'm stuck hovering around 190#. But that will go down once I start base.

Hmm 194. Kinda levelling off lately. Still, down 72 lbs since February. I'm happy, but wanna get down under 175 before I give up. Haven't been that light in over twenty years.

Didn't make my weight goal for Everest Challenge- I'm about 1 lb high. I gained some muscle this year so maybe that's why.

It's difficult to not gain the weight back while I'm tapering. I am very much looking forward to eating my way through the off season.

Just great. There I was feeling decent about my weight loss over the last 15 months and I come across this thread that makes me realize I'm fat and need to lose 20-40 lbs (1st 6 - 2st 12 for our friend Chasm54 )

Reckon this will be used as motivation, thanks

Just...fat.

Le sigh. The season of "why do I bother?" which sounds better in French.

Oh, come now! "Reserves" aren't fat. You're stronger than I am, RR.

146.3 this AM up from 144.5 Nov 1 (last time I weighed myself). The weight isn't troubling but my BF is up to 10.5% from 7.1 on Nov 1. I crashed heavily on Nov 4 during a TT, so that's my excuse and I'm stickin' with it

Crashing heavily in a TT? Ouch on many fronts!

Right now I'm dreaming of being back in the 140-something-pound range. A Registered Dietician & Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics spoke to our club a couple of months ago and she said that the best time to lose weight was during the off season. I am usually on the Jan Ullrich weight management method so I am going to have to figure out how to lose weight during this month.

Surprised myself this morning. I weighed myself at the gym, and was 185 in my street clothes, down from ~195 about six weeks ago. I'm guessing that my street clothes are good for about five pounds, so that would put me at ~180. I just need to figure out whether I need to lose more at 6'2", and if so, how much.

I'm 6'6", 190, and am told constantly (not by bike racers, of course) that I'm skinny. I have a teammate who is a fraction of an inch taller. He weighs 25 pounds less. Just depends on how competitive you want to be on the climbs... :/

I thought the story goes that Ullrich and Vino were bear hunting in Kazakhstan in the winter and Ullrich cut a hole in the ice and jumped in as part of his weight management program. I think A'Jet can provide a hole in the ice somewhere in Ohio.

As a flatlander, climbs are my nemesis. I need all the help I can get. I'm considered a decent climber around here, but it's due to the "...in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king" factor. Guess I need to keep going.

I ice fish in the pond in my back yard. How big a hole do you need? I can always use a chain saw if the auger is too small.

My wife wanted me close to home this day, so I watched the Daytona 500 while Ice fishing. I have buried electric and cable lines that run to the dock. It really ticked her off when I called home with the cell phone and asked her to bring me a few more beers.
