I like how you could see the air pressure in the tires change as you cornered, and the bar tape plug status was something new as well.

Oops, you missed the wheel bearing temperature.

My wife took this cell phone video at last Saturdays IL State Masters Track Champs. In addition to two straights into the wind, I bungled the start. I raced at Northbrook in part to get acquainted with a 387 meter track that is more like the track at Redmond WA where Nats will be held. Considering that my wife said that she would never take another picture of me after the "TT position image fiasco" she did pretty well.

Nice A"Jet. I like the wheels and set up and I bet that your wife bargained hard for a quid pro quo for that video.

Hi, Lothar C posted videos from both races that I did this past Sunday in Carson, CA. Here is the 50+/55+ race (race together, scored separately):
I finally make an appearance (no. 993) at 29:37. Before that, you see my teammate, Greg P, quite a bit. You also see Racer Ex's teammates attacking and chasing. Big M, Frances, The Roof Guy, and another guy who I don't know.
I didn't watch all of the 45+ race video:
However, skipping through it, I spotted myself (no. 196) at 34:57. Again, you see my teammate and Racer Ex's teammates quite a bit. BTW, there were 10(?) guys off the front and the field was sprinting for no prizes and no SoCal Cup points.
Race factoid: 50+/55+ race was slower than the 45+ race (26.2 vs 26.6 MPH) yet my NP was lower in the 45+ race (238W vs 217W). After the 50+/55+ race, I was telling my teammates that I felt like I was wasting a lot of energy because the back of the field was kind of sketchy and my attempts to get to the front, before my appearance in the video, were not effective. The 45+ race was much smoother and easier for me.

Our 45+ races are my absolute fav's. I can't do as much tactically, but the speed is just damned fun. One of my most enjoyable moments this past season was leading out our team captain for the pack sprint win (few guys off the front). No place, no points, but it was great practice. It wasn't planned, I just recognized the opportunity and executed. By the time he launched, my entire bike and I were shaking from the effort as I blew up. Loved it.

Well, it's that time of year that I get to share my "stupid sport" with the rest of you more conventional racers......well, except for sara, and formerly, Ajet.
This was shot by Chris Haskell at last weekends race. I think he does a super job as a videographer, and he truly loves the sport.
Here is the 4/5 race. Enjoy...............or not.

Went to the cross race today to cheer on my brother in law, teammates and riding buddies. I must admit that I'm surprising good at heckling.

Well, it would have to do with you getting your official's license and me entering a cross race that you have been assigned to.

Here is my pledge: I will obtain my level C officials license, and help in at least one race by NLT June. I could well progress from there, but no promises.

Probably posted this before, but some footage from the local trails. The last three minutes bombing through the desert is pretty sweet.

Very nice. Always love me some sweet, sweet singletrack. If Santa brings me a POV camera , I'll be posting some of my local trails.

I thought I posted this here but I didn't. M45 race, "only" one major star (ex-pro Frank McCormack), but I had realistically one of my best days of the year. The numbers are posted in the YouTube description but 167w avg (a little low for me), 160bpm (high for me), 89rpm (about average). Smaller field but not tiny. Field was sprinting for CT's bronze medal.
