Hairless Legs!!

How in the **** do y'all do it?? I have tried shaving (ingrown hairs), waxing (too many missed spots and have to shave those areas anyway), sugaring (just a fancy wax...same issues). The only things I haven't tried are electrolysis and laser. Not sure if worth the result. Any input here would be appreciated. In the past I have just trimmed the hair to almost the skin. Left a little stubble but no issues. Just thought I would go all the way. Thanks for the comments

I just use a razor. I guess I have been lucky not to have in grown hairs.

Back when: Wald clippers on the lowest "butch" haircut settings/comb get to the shaggiest bits off and Barbasol w/ Bic razors to slightly bloodily finish the job.

Not a problem, but everyone is different.

Try sandpaper buffing. It's not as close as a razor so little risk of ingrown hairs.

Hello oldroadie48. Been shaving continuously since I was 16. Started with a single blade safety razor and Barbasol. Now I use soap and multiple blade razors. Rarely get an ingrown hair. YMMV.

Legs all the way, forearms too (forearms really get gnarled up in getoffs on the mtb or track)

Doing it since i was about 20' -- just razor blades and shave cream or gel. I have to keep at it maybe 2-3x a week to prevent ingrown hairs. If i let it go for 5-7 days, thats when they happen, - like nasty little pimples all over

Since this has all the hallmarks of a troll thread. I'll play.

I think it is more about who saves them than what is used or how.

I did not start it as a troll thread however it seems to be soliciting some other than helpful responses.

I have to admit that I did see that you were serious, and you asked an honest question. I tried for humor, I hope I wasn't be un-helpful. I did delete one of my posts, though. To be honest, I have occasionally wondered how guys dealt with leg hair. It's much more of a task than most women would have to undertake.

I got a no trespass warning from the local LEO (Dave). Can't go back into Pete's barber shop now...

In all seriousness. I just use a regular ol razor and shave cream. Lots to remove it's the Wahl clippers first pass - and I do my head at the same time with the 1/8" attachment.

Shaving legs.

I use clippers on mine and get almost as close as shaving. Do you think that shaved legs are really faster than legs that are cut with clippers?

Wahl clippers if they're too bad, then trim with a razor. Just got a couple of new things to try, an electric body shaver and a double-edge safety razor. I think the latter's advantage will be that it won't get clogged as quickly as the three-bladed lady's razors I've used.

I've never had a problem with ingrown hairs, so I can't help the OP with that one.

I linked to a bro science video about body grooming but it's way too offensive so I deleted it. But now you know it exists if you want to be amused and/or offended.

I don't shave for speed (and didn't when I raced). I shave because I have learned that shaving before crashes is a lot more pleasant than getting shaved after the crash. Bandage management is also a lot more pleasant.

I haven't tried clippers. I do know that a week after the crash, hairs have started to grow back and make tape pulling less pleasant. I'll stick to shaving.

I shave my legs with the same razor I do on my face – it works fine. Just twice a week is enough. I got lazy years ago and just use soap in the shower with no ill effects whatsoever.
Why I shave – I still race (M50+) and shaving reminds me that I’m a racer. I just feel faster when I look down and see shaved legs. As far a healing from crashes – I try not to crash. It happens, but not so frequently that I shave for that reason.

it's more than feel; you are faster. The least amount of watts saved is 10W at 25mph, which is a good 2-3W more than the benefit of aero wheels. Some experience savings as large as 15W at 25mph, which is a lot of energy saved

I try to crash every few races and keep the skin + hair off my body.

But seriously, good razors, good soap, go slow.

I just sit in the yard and use an electric shaver. It doesn't get baby-smooth but there's nothing to clean up.
