That sentiment seems to be taking hold in NYC. Three of the major races, so far, have announced the schedules without masters races. In some cases I can handle it. In one, my option is a 96 mile road race.

A 43-year old guy lapped us 40+ ers yesterday, then a few hours later also lapped the p12 field. This morning he lapped us again. The other race was cxled due to lightning.

Gary, excellent letter. I was pleased to see the second response, too. I'd hope something like that gains traction in NCNCA. If I keep shaking that tree, maybe it will.

I can recall lapping people into my 50's. Can't recall where I left my car keys though.

The only time I've lapped a field was with Racer Ex and he was one of the younger guys in that race.

Well, NCNCA Women's Committee has agreed to propose a 35+ 4 women's category for the district next season to the BOD tonight at the BOD meeting. Fingers crossed!

Speaking of age group racing, the Bay Area Senior Games has finally released the cycling venue information. It will be held on the CCCX Series Road Circuit course. The road race will be 40K, six laps(!), and the ITT will be one lap of the course. This is a TOUGH course, and it's going to be hard for us older folks, especially for those who rarely race.
