Merlin Malt - any opins?
Hi All
Thinking about replacing the old mtb with a new lighter and tricker model. Amazed at how expensive they are here in the UK compared to US and would consider importing but not sure about how easy it is and what the costs will be like with Duty VAT etc...
I would appreciate what people think about the following:
Merlin Malt - https://www.merlincycles.co.uk/acatal...lin_Bikes.html
Also considering GT Avalanche with Disk or possibly a MTB from Decathelon (french sports store = Sports Authority type superstore)
All I ever get to do is mild trails plenty of rough roads and prob do 20-30 miles a week with occasional longer trips.
Many thanks

Those Merlins look really solid, i know a couple of people who have them and apparently they ride really well, and are pretty well set up for the price.
I would steer clear of the Avalanche however, for one i dont like them, and two, my mate has one, and it rides like crap.

If you can, try and test them out, im not sure if you can try the bikes out at the merlin companys depot, if you can, it will defintely be worth trotting down there and have a go on the bikes to make sure what they feel like, as I think the merlins are order only? :S
Good luck anyway
