6 feet, 200 LBS - what size bike ?
Hello
I am a male adult, age 45, 6 feet 0 inches, 200 LBS, with 38 inch waist (if that matters) and 34 inch blue jean pant size. What size Mountain Bike should I be looking at ?
Riding will be local neighborhood trails and sidewalks/streets.
Thank You

Depending on the brand of bike, a Large (18in to 20in) or an XL (20in to 22in) should fit you fine. Either size may require some adjustment and possible changing of the stem and or the seat post.
Oh- in some states or cities, it is illegal to ride a bike on a sidewalk... just an FYI.

I'm the same size as you. Large in both Giant and Trek. XL was significantly too big for me, but we could be proportioned differently.

The same height as you and ride a large in my trail bikes. My downhill bike is a medium though, the large made me feel too stretched out. Go and test ride some at your local shop and see what fits the best.

What type of mountain bike are you planning to buy? I am 5'8" and generally ride a medium but because of the slack head angle and design of my 29er, ride it in a large. Also depends on the reach and how comfortable you feel on the bike. Best bet... test ride before buying. Bikes are made and built differently from brand/model to brand/model. No one size fits all... I assume you are looking at a hardtail or cross country bike... reach not height will be the issue for you.

I am 5'11" amd long legged, 32" Inseam, I fitted a large Scott Hard Tail 29erthat felt pretty big due to wheel size and GEO. But now on a large Scott Spark 760. a 27.5" wheeled full suspension, It feel just right, smaller and very 'Flickable'
Tried an XL Spark 27.5,, not an option, way too big, stretched me all out...
BTW I started at 202 pounds, Down to and holding 174 pounds now, NO more belly !,Thanks to biking..
Gotta carry a can~o~ mace to fight off the Sheila's now days
