sorry, i'm new. I dont know if this is the right place to ask, but I need to buy a bike and start exercising soon or i'll die

ps. i want either a mtb or hybrid, have a specialized rockstopper (or hardrock?) in mind, price range around that line.. hopefully under 1000 including tax and this is in canadian.. and i cant do no tricks just for leisure or occasional off road kthx

A good bike for you would probably be a specially hardrock disc. Good strong bike for the price. My buddies got one and although I cant stand it when I hop on it after getting off my Kona, it is still a solid bike. You will probably grow to love it.
