Hi,

I was thinking the other day... you know the two most common formulas to calculate seat height... (1) Multiply the Inseam by 1.09 for the distance between the top of the seat to the pedal right at the bottom, and (2) the inseam by 0.883 for the distance between the top of the seat and centre of bottom bracket.

Then, if you take both of these measurments the difference should be your ideal crank lenght ?

When taking the second measurment, should you take into account cleat height and shoe sole thickness ?

Claude
