Wanted to thank you guys for answering all my questions. After a little over two weeks I purchased my bike for $350 shipped, it's a Specialized Stumpjumer M2 Pro. After doing some pricing and such it looks like I did good in waiting instead of buying the first bike I wanted. I'm really confident with my purchase thanks to you guys...Oh oh oh, and I even got the right frame size for my short self!

Sorry to bump my own thread like this. While I was looking up the pricing for this bike I couldn't find a detailed specs of it. Anyone know where I might go for this?

What year is it? Nice deal if it's fairly new/good condition.

Sorry, it's a 2000 Specialized Stumpjumper M2 Pro. Like I said, I found some basic stuff on it but want all the nitty gritty details. I really like working with my hands, which is why I love building computers so much and maintaining/upgrading a bike I would view as "extreme fun"
Oh and on a side note, which fork is generally better?
Answer Manitou SX
Or...
Rock Shox Sid XC
I ask because I noticed when I was looking at these bikes they had one or the other for the fork. I bought the one with Rock Shox because just browsing around and such I heard that it's a quality fork.
**Edit**
See, I want to know the details because I want to get some new tires for it. I purchased a yellow bike, so thinking some red tires would make it look hot.
Also when looking at tires it will say something like 26 x 1.90", what does the second number mean?
