Good cheap bike computer?

Looking into these, but can't spend a lot of cash, but then also don't want to get stuck with one that totally sucks. Looking at $50 price, but lower would be great.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Cateye has several. Mighty 8 should run you about $30 or so. I love my Cateye.

What features are you looking for? My wife got a cat eye (something) 5 and it has the basic features like speed, max speed, trip distance, odometer, and time for 15$. I got a cat eye astrale 8 for my road bike and it has (features listed below) for around 30$
* Cadence
* Trip Distance
* Current Speed
* Average Speed
* Odometer
* Maximum speed
* Elapsed time
* Clock (12/24h)
* Speed displays up to 300 mph or 185 mph
* Auto or manual start/stop
* Odometer memory
* Programmable display
* Universal cadence magnet/sensor
* Universal bracket/Sensor
* Auto power saving

why do you want one for your mtn bike anyhow?

I got a Supergo wireless computer in Santa Monica two weekends ago for I think 13 or 19 bucks... real cheap, seems like a good computer.

Specialized has some starting around $23 that are darn reliable. Nice heavy gauge wire. I've decided for a MTB, wireless is a terribly unreliable idea.

I have a cateye astrale 8, I just don't use it much. I always want to get my average speed up so I make myself tired before I get to where I'm going.

I don't use one on my trail bike, but I've had my Cateye Mitty 3 for about 5 years now on my commuter with no trouble.

Cateye seem to have the best range. I got one, and got it for $60AU, so that was pretty cheap. Personally, I wouldn't spend heaps of money on a computer.
