Finally got my new bike and went for a ride (pics)
So i got my new bike today a Specialized HardRock Sport Disc (was suppose to get a stumjumper but im only in town for 2 more months and didnt want to spend alot of money)
Overall the bike was amazing when i rode it today, maybe its my newbiness and inexperience and the fact that i havent ridden in two years and the last bike i rode was an x-mart bike. The only problems i had were the brakes squeaking, the pedals since i hit my shins twice and got some cuts, and the fact that i bottomed out the fork and im only 140lb and it was also really spongy.
I went on a pretty sweet ride i went to this trail called fantasy island which is 1/2 mile from my house. This trail was awesome it consisted of everything downhill,uphill,ramps,90 degree turn i though it was a bit beyond my skill since i have none but i still did it. This trail kicked my ass i almost endoed a few times. The cacti also sucked i got pricked by one of the sum*****es.

I just got a Hardrock Sport (v-brakes) this Monday, been having a lot of fun riding around Long Island City (lots of crappy roads) each afternoon before work.
I'm going to spend the weekend riding around downtown Manhattan (the Wall St. area is like a ghost town on the weekends)
This bike is so much fun. I'd love to take it on some singletrack one of these days.
