Bike maintenace and Cleanliness
So as i posted the other day i got a new bike a specialized hardrock disc and i wanted to know what i need to maintain it
what are places tha need to be lubed up and what kind of lube do i need
what do i use to clean the bike anything special and what do i use to clean my disc brakes
oh yeah and what are some good maintenance books so i can learn how to fix my bike sometimes

I use Perdo's to lube the chain and other moving bits. For cleaning (chain only) I use WD-40 and an old sock. I don't clean my disks but I imagine that mild detergent should work well.
I also just bought The Bicycle Repair Book by Rob Van Der Plas. Very detailed and well written.
