Note to Mods.
May be put a sticky about how to clean your brakes. Seems that question comes up all year round at least once a week. People can post their remedies for pad contamination, oil on rotors, cleaning the braking surface on rims with cantis or v's, etc. etc. etc. Just an idea.

maybe the sticky should be on bike maintenance/cleaning in general, that way more could be covered instead of just one sticky on cleaning brake rotors?

We are avoiding putting lots of stickies up and trying to get rid of them. At the top of the page on mtb is a link called "best of" if you find me the links of some of those threads I will put them in that thread
