Places to bike in Colorado?
A friend and I are going to take a road trip out to Colorado sometime in early august(we live in New Orleans), and we're looking for a place to leave our car and then ride pretty far away from everything to camp and explore things for a week. I was wondering if any of you seasoned mountain bikers had any suggestions of places to go, and things to look out for, bring, ... etc. This will be our first expedition of this sort. Also, I saw the 500$ bike thread, but I have no way of discriminating between the different suggestions since i know nothing about bicycles. Any suggestions on a good starter bicycle?
