Yeah, floating BB doesnt work out too well. It kinda defeats the purpose of suspension. Its like the wallmart bikes with URT and the BB is on the swingarm.

i see manufactures use the floating bb at their frames, like Mongoose Bikes Black Diamond Triple Hardtail Mountain Bike and GT with their i-drive

I remember when i had a go at designing a DH bike. Turns out its exactly the same design as the Nicolai Nucleon, but without the gearbox.

But nice work with the design. Looks good to me.

How did you design that? Was it basically 'by eye', or did you take into account things like pedalling induced shock compression, and how the bb moves when the linkage moves?

In the first design, it looks like hard pedalling will cause the suspension to bob. The moving BB seems interesting.. did you calculate it so that the BB doesn't move forward or back when the linkage moves, or did you just eyeball it?
