Adding a suspension fork?
I have a really nice post sell-out Schwinn mountain bike, it has a solid front fork. I'm now thinking about adding a fork to the bike to conquer a little more terrain. Would you recomend installing a suspension fork or would you go out and buy a whole new bike? Any comment or advice is welcome, thanks.

well just overall would you recomend a suspension fork, the terrain is more a rough forest trail with some rocks and some pretty steep downhills

also the bikes i'm looking at if i were to buy a new bike are the Giant Yukon, or possibly a Gary Fisher equivalent

I just had the same debate, and ended up with a new bike. I would have had to buy a new fork, new headset and brakes, and if you're going to spend that much, sell the old one and add a few bucks to it and get something new. Have a look at the Konas before you buy, you may like what you see.

The hell is your problem? Just because you cant afford a Kona means that everyone else shouldnt get one? The base models arent even that expensive.
Back on topic, I think you should keep your bike the way it is and save the money towards a newer bike. Adding a suspension fork will change your geometry alot, and the money spent getting it to fit and get compatible brakes would be nearly enough to get a hardrock or something.

i think he is ********. he cant spell worth ****, and hes stupid as hell. also... why would this guy want a dj1 for trails, i doubt he even has 20mm axels.
