Max tire size for Troll is 26x3", so not sure how small a tire you'd need on a 27.5 rim to fit in that space. Ogre can handle 27.5x3" tires.

So I think it depends on what size tires you want - narrower tires go with the Troll, fatter tires go with the Ogre. If you put the same size wheels/tires on both bikes, the Ogre's bottom bracket will be about an inch lower than the Troll's.

I had a Surly Troll (still have the frame if you are interested) With it's clearances it would surely fit 650b wheels and tires. I even mounted a 29" front wheel and still had loads of clearance with the stock fork. Surly used to have on their website a blog about 27.5 fitment on the Troll. It will slightly move the BB height though.

The Ogre on the other hand is built for 29" that would actually lower the BB height and could create some clearance issues on trails or whatever.

I'd personally do it with the Troll but not the Ogre.
