Slightly bent front rim. What can I do?
I haven't posted here much lately because I've been too busy enjoying my Boulder SE. Anyway, my front rim I believe is slightly bent. It's something you have to really look to notice. Reason I found it is when you hold down the front brake when going pretty fast every rotation there is a hesitation. Being pretty mechanically inclined with vehicles, this feeling felt familiar. On a car when this happens, 90% of the time the rotors are warped. Well, a bike's rim acts as the "rotor."
Let's just cut the BS: How can I straighten it out? Can I just tighten/loosen the spokes in the area of the "kink" to realign it?

You answered your own question. Tighten the spoke(s) on the side that you need to pull the rim to, loosen the spoke(s) on the other side.

How would I go about doing this? Can I just flip the bike upside down, tighten the spokes as need be, spin the wheel, if it works great if not re-tweak? Or is it more sensible to take the wheel off, remove the tire, and go about it some other way?

Leave the wheel on the bike with the tire and everything on. All you have to do is find the spot where its bent, do this by using a pen or something, hold it on the fork and slowly push it into the rim. Wherever it hits the pen is where the spokes need to be tightend and loosend. If the rim just has a tiny tweak in it, it should be possible to get it back to just about completely straight.

Buy a spoke key to do the job with (make sure you get the right size, or a multi-size one). you just put the key on the... er... thingamajigs at the end of the spokes you need to tighten/loosen and twist. Keep in mind that you need to twist the opposite way to normal threads. That is, clockwise to loosen and counter-clockwise to tighten.
