bang for the buck/mavic crossmax sl

Tomorrow I am going to purchase a rear wheel (mavic crossmax sl disc wheel)(not tubeless)
reg. price is 460 I am getting it for 330 brand new.
I am pretty sure I am getting a good deal, but is this upgrade gonna give the bang for the buck,
I ride a specialized epic w/mavic 221 on there now.

Bang for the buck??
You will probably have a rear wheel that is about 330 grams lighter than your old wheel.
330 grams/$330 = 1 gram savings per dollar. $330 is a good deal. about the same price as a new king rear disc hub at full retail.

I am not that much of a fashionista when it comes to bikes but your ride might look a little goofy unless you had an sl on the front as well. They are very distinctive looking. Can you swing a front wheel also?

I guess it would all depend on what you're looking for in your bang. I run those wheels (Front&Rear) and absolutely love them for XC riding and racing. They're light, stiff, tough and look sick (last on my list but as unsuspended said they really stand out). If those things are what are important to you then you I'd say that it's a good deal. $330's a good deal too.
