Front Der Noise...

Greeting again, Oh BikeForumites!
When I ride with my front derallieur (Deore LX) in the middle ring (I.E when not having tension placed on it by the stop screws), the cage moves a little, making a *tink* noise when riding over bumps.
Is there any way to work this out of the system? Is it normal?

OK, Let's try to take this in a different direction-
"Does your derallieur do this?"
and
"What derallieur is it?"
Thanks... I really could use a little help.
