That's a Honda RN01 downhill bike (yes it's actaully made by Honda and it's a damn good bike in the Japanese DH competitions)

It has an enclosed gearbox type thing.

As far as I know, it's only available in Japan and costs a fortune.

It was at one time. I mean, they have Caddilac now, and Hummer, and the Corvette, but they also have so many other brands thats why it is still large. However, if you look at their increase compared to say, Toyota's increase, it isn't that much. Toyota will be #1 in less then 5-7 years.

Sorry, I'm obviously a car guy.

Yeah, GM is good, real good... So good actually, that just this past week they had to lay-off 25,000 of their workers, 'cause no one wants a GM made POS....

I disagree...the vette runs competitively with cars more than twice its price. From a performance standpoint, it's actually quite a bargain.

Hmmm... The Corvette is an excellent deal by many standards. The new C6 is a great bargain, and the Z06 version, can beat a Viper and most cars twice its price, even more.

GM is currently under a lot of financial trouble. They have to take care of so many former GM employees, which, Toyota doesn't have to do after a certain number of years becuase of the way the Japnese goverment has it set up. GM closed plants locally too, here in Maryland, what they don't mention is that they will increase imports from other global plants to help bring in cheaper cars and so they will start turning a profit. They have also been restructuring their individual brands. IE. they already killed Olds. They will add more models to the other brands and they are trying to divide Chevy and Pontiac in terms of brand meaning.

I'm not defending GM, but I do see where they went wrong, and I know what they should do better.

I blame the rising oil prices on America's obssesion with horsepower. Europe does well with great handling cars, but America's market prefers the optional V6 or V8, or the turbo model, or AWD model, all of which require more gas.

Sorry for hi-jacking this thread.

Honda's are the 'safe' company in motocross...you KNOW your getting a kick @ss bike, there may be a better one that year, but it will still rock.
I used to ride yamaha's, i really wouldn't consider anything other than Yamaha or honda for motocross.

power does NOT mean torque.

and chris, the vette is a deal compared to the viper, but the stang GT is a deal compared to the vette

but i'd still rather have my rx-7 :"D (which doesnt have torque either... :S)

I had a 1998 Honda CBR600F3 sport bike, the thing was a beast, I had a Jardine race pipe on it, pissed everyone off on my street, Corbin seat and K&N filter.. Just a shame insurance was so much money, I'd still have it today.

One day I hope to get a CBR600RR though, sexy sexy bike.
