Master link for chain
I have a SACHS chain that came on my bike. It is still good and does not need replacing yet. However, I wanted to get a master link for it. My bike has 8-cogs. Should this master link work?

Well it says it fits and 8 - speed bike, and your bike is 8 - speed so i'm guessing so .
I got one for my 7 speed a few weeks ago, it's a lot easier and cheaper then buying a chain removing tool, and i'll only take my chain off to clean it once or twice.

One other thing to note is that SRAM's chains (and consequently the PowerLinks) are actually a carryover chain design from when they purchased Sachs/Sedis back in 1997.
