Master link for chain

I have a SACHS chain that came on my bike. It is still good and does not need replacing yet. However, I wanted to get a master link for it. My bike has 8-cogs. Should this master link work?

Thanks

Well it says it fits and 8 - speed bike, and your bike is 8 - speed so i'm guessing so .

I got one for my 7 speed a few weeks ago, it's a lot easier and cheaper then buying a chain removing tool, and i'll only take my chain off to clean it once or twice.

One other thing to note is that SRAM's chains (and consequently the PowerLinks) are actually a carryover chain design from when they purchased Sachs/Sedis back in 1997.

It's fine. The only way you'd have an issue with that is if you tried to use it on a Shimano chain. The Power Link doesn't fit 8 speed Shimano.

Thankfully the 9 speed works on both SRAM and Shimano 9's
