seat height adjuster

hey guys i recently got a new bike and have some money to put into it. I have seen some ads for a little electronic device that you put on your seat post and you have a switch on your handlebars and you can adjust the seat post. Have any of you guys heard of those and know what they are called? Also does anyone have experience with one?

I've seen it. It's basically a high-tech version of the old Hite-Rite but it's not electronic.

They have two models with one of them that can be operated by a lever on the handlebar. It's made by Gravity Dropper.

Don't think I've ever seen anything so ridiculous. Was it advertised on April 1st?

That is interesting as I have noticed that you have to make a compromise between max pedaling efficiency or downhill control.

I could imagine a weird position though where you hit it and the the thing comes flying up towards your nuts...

It's been around about a year or more. I don't think the idea is rediculous. The Hite-Rite was a great little gizmo. The Gravity Dropper however seems a bit overcomplicated in comparison. But then again, who am I to talk? I'm the guy riding around with piezoelectric valves in my shocks. :D The nice thing about the Hite-Rite though was that it worked with just about any seatpost. Too bad they're no longer made.
