1 1/8" Headset on a Fat City Yo! Eddy?

So I was checking out this Yo! Eddy on eBay... thinking about plunking down the cash to satisfy my lust for a steel hardtail in style. The ad says it takes a 1 1/8" headset though... I thought they all took 1" though. Maybe this is a newer Yo!... how long did they make these for anyways? It has Wicked Lite decals but the ad also says they're just decals and the frame is in fact a Yo!

Any thoughts? Want to sell me you early 90's Yo! collecting dust in the garage? Maybe a Petersen era MB-1 instead?

Well first off there is a MAJOR difference in a Yo Eddy frame and a Wicked Lite. I do know that the 97 Yo Eddy took a 1 1/8" h.s. The 10th Aniversary Yo was a ti. frame and utilized a 1" h.s. The early "Fat's' more than likely had 1" h.s. the latter 1 1/8" and it is still that way today, with one or two frames being the smaller, especially if you go custom.
    Here is a good link.

Also the Yo Eddy used a 29.4 seatpost and the Wicked used a 26.4. I hope this helps.

I also saw that bike on Ebay...looks nice. I think the ad said he could only get Wicked Lite stickers for it, but it was a Yo! Eddy.

If I had the bucks, I'd certainly consider buying it...good luck!

    Gutted!

Did he give a reason why he pulled it?

There was a nice frameset going on MTBr quite recently if you were interested.

"error in listing detail" or something. in the old days of eBay you could leave feedback for that kind of thing, or anything for that matter. oh well... thanks for the tip on the other Yo! I'll check it out
