Triangular logo on head tube, need help id'ing my frame

Wish I had a digital camera on me. So I got this frame that one of the mechanics at the local chop shop wanted to build up but didn't have the time. Its a really light steel frame. I asked him where he got it, he said "hey man, can't give away my secrets." He wouldn't (or couldn't) say what brand it was either. Those guys are crooks but whatever, I've had a few bikes stolen myself, what goes around comes around. After strippng off the primer that the dude sprayed on it, I can see a triangle of unrusted metal on the head tube. It's pointing up, and the whole triangle wraps around half the tube, and is 2.5" tall. Other features are:
  • bottom bracket had pressed in, unthreaded NTN bearings that I had to destroy to remove
  • rear dropouts are stamped shimano
  • there's a metal triangle welded to the down tube where it meets the head tube
Can anyone tell me what brand bike this is? Thanks a lot.

I think they call it the Bermuda Triangle Bike Company w/ models like the Bad Karma, Skeleton Closet, etc...Man just be careful riding that thing as karma has a way of, as you say "what goes around comes around".

You are an ass*hole. Bike thieves are the lowest form of scum ever and deserve to die.

There is no comfort here. Take the frame back, get a job/life/your own bike.

Yeah, buying a frame you know/suspect is stolen is not cool.

I doubt you've actually had stuff stolen or you wouldn't be so blase about it - by paying money to a thief you're encouraging more theft, and in the eyes of the law it pretty much makes you a thief too.

I don't think this frame's history is as bad as I made it out to be... this frame is so rusted out, it must have been one of those abandoned frames stripped to bare that are just locked up and forgotten. Rust wise it was in rough shape, top surfaces of the tubes were all pitted up, the BB shell and seat tube were full of rust. Granted, the person who I got it from is working for a store with a shady reputation. But it's not like I got a mint aluminum frame with switched up parts.

I may be a vulture, but sometimes you gotta be one when you're a broke ass student.

I have, out of my own apartment, by some shady drug addict / con artist that some loser invited in. Alot of valuables of others were stolen too.

Why am I so blase about it? Rather that than bikeless. Call it desperation.
