I need a rack to hold 3-4 bikes
I would like a trunk rack that's universal (can fit on jeeps/cars)
other than that is there anything else fairly cheap I can get?

Check out www.sierratradingpost.com I found and bought the Yakima Loco Joe, 3 bike carrier, and it's the best rack I have used. I had an older Hollywood rack that cost me about $80., and this new Yak is much better made with quality materials...and killer price of $39.95.
I did not know it also has the side straps too, which really makes it more stable. Pleased here! Note: sometimes on Mondays, Sierra offers free shipping too.
