Fork, Frame combo, need help.

On previous threads i wrote about what frame i bought, 04 Jamis Dakar XLT1.0, Im gonna get an LX build Kit from pricepoint. My dilema is the fork, The stock fork for the frame i have is a manitou minute 1.0 100-130mm travel with spv damping. Do i have to get a fork with the same travel? Does the fork have to have spv damping to compliment the rear shock which does have spv also? Does the headset matter? What fork do you guys think i should get whith the setup i am getting above?

Well, I'm 99% sure you could use any type of damping (dampening?) up front, there would be no compatibility issues. As for the fork travel, any fork with travel in between 100 and 130mm would be fine. Going any higher or lower would change the geometry.
Headset? Do you mean if it's compatible with a certain fork?

will the headset that comes in the lx build kit be ok (Dia Compe Aheadset AL), or the headset that comes with the frame be ok(cane creek zero stack)?

which one is better if both are compatible?

No idea, sorry. All I know is Cane Creek is a reputable brand making headsets.
