Iron Horse Quantum

Any one have this particular bike? I saw it on Sportsmart and they are selling it for $299 on sale. The original price is $499.

here are some of the details,

Aluminum Frame
Hayes IH2 Disc brakes ( front and back)
Truvativ XFLOW Power Crank
Shimano Shifter
Rear Der. Acera 8 spd.
Front Der Shimano ?
IRC Mythos Tires
WTB seats
Manitou SIX Fork

Is this worth buying ? it looks like the Warrior Comp but has different components. im no pro I just want a bike to around town and maybe go to some trails near my area.

I just bought an Iron Horse Quantum at Gart Sports a month ago because I was impressed with the affordable price and (quite) good parts. I can't even find the name "Quantum" at the Iron Horse website. I was wondering if this bike was really made by them. This the first site that I saw who has a forum about this bike. Anyway, I use it for commuting and still testing if this bike will survive. I also was having second thoughts on the quality of bikes that are bought in a sports shop rather than in a LBS.

My question is: My front disk brake makes this noise (like a rubbing/ticking sound) everytime a squeeze on the brakes. Do I need to adjust something or is it normal?

Try going to a real bike shop. If that Bike Shaped Object impressed you wait 'till you see what a place that only sells bicycles has to offer. Trust me there's a reason Iron Horse doesn't acknowledge that thing on their website
