    Shoes??

Just recently got into mtn biking and picked up a Specialized Stumpjumper. It has got clipless pedals on it and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good pair of biking shoes. I am leaning towards the more subtle shoe, not the full race shoe...but am open to all suggestions. Thanks.

    What's your budget?

I'm pretty happy with my Specialized Comp MTB shoes. They about a hundred bucks.

6-6-1 Launch are a skater-type bike shoe that can be had for around $50 if you look around. Not as rigid as a full bike shoe but also easy to walk around in and look good for hanging around.

Wait 6 months. Get to know your bike REALLY well before switching to clipless. At the very least learn to bunny hop and jump WITHOUT clipless pedals. You'll be a better rider if you do.

661 peaks is what I wear...I came from some shimano lace up type mountain clipless shoe and the attacks are night and day difference but they also cost 3 times more.

ive got a new set in size 45 that are too big for me but since I used them for a couple rides I cant return them...if its your size, make me an offer.
retail is $140...make me an offer I cant refuse.

I just got some Nike Kato III lace. I bought them because they seemed to give the best mix between being a bike shoe while not looking like something you stole from Ronald McDonald. I like them so far, still trying to get comfortable with cleat position and shims. OK so far.
