i dont like the idea of riding close to other peoples tires, especially offroad. I dont really have to deal with dust very often so its alright with me

Rainy Season in Korea kind of bites. Take your worst downpour that you remember and multiply that by 3-5 weeks, at least four days a week, almost 24 hours a day. When it's not rainy during that time everything is WET and I hate root covered trails in the wet. Any hill over wet evergreen roots always causes me some kind of unpleasantness.

I love damp forest trails. Somehow makes the tires stick like glue.
Mud - don't mind, have to get used to it here, rains 3/4 of the year.
Dry and Dusty is fun as its a bit different.
A warm misty light summer rain is great if the trails aren't too slippy. Especially if the air has that odd quiet way. Makes everything look better somehow. Evening sun too coming through the trees. Although can be confusing at times with all the shadows!

Snow: South Texas, doesn't really snow. Been known to wear shorts on Christmas day.
Ice: I only remember one time. It freaked me out the first time I cracked a puddle, thought it was my bike breaking. Got used to the noise.
Cold: See snow. But if it gets down below 45,bundled up like I am going to ride the Iditabike.
Mud: okay, just hate the cleaning process.
Rain: Would be nice this time of year.
Dust: Actually wish I had a camera once, it would have been the Farmerblow world record.
Damp: Bring it on. Roots change up the trails. Lots of roots where I ride.
Hot: Bring it on. Most people down here ride in the morning. They are trying to beat the heat. I don't care, actually like riding the trails during the "heat of the day". Less people.
Dry: Then I will be making a drive across the county line to get beer......0h the trails, sure dry it cool.

Worse condition ever though.... when the trails are......CROWDED!

I don't like the heat.it is always dusty here.I like to ride in the rain here,we don't get it that much so it is kind of nice when we do.I want a trainer so I don't have to go out in the ice and snow.
last january my daughter and I went for an impromto ride.it was about 50 dagrees out when we left.well it got dark on us.no biggie i thought.what I did not realize was she did not have her coat zipped up.so she got cold to her core.poor thing was frozen.she got so cold that she just couldn't ride anymore.we walked the last mile or so.I felt so bad cause it was her idea and she just was dying to go.got her home and gave her a cup of hot chocklat (oops sp) and a hot bath and she was good to go but has said that she does not want to do that again.

"...kind of bites", huh? You're being awfully generous, there. By the way, been swimming in any turtle ditches, lately?

Well, because of where I live in central Oklahoma: Summer. It's nothing but heat with a lack of rain. The trails are like trying to ride down the beach because of the sand and the brown recluse spiders are hiding under the leaves that the sand pushes me into. But I'm still crazy enough to go.

Where in South Texas are you? I frequent the Rio Grande Valley since that is where I grew up and I'd like to find some good trails in the area.

morning rides in the fall unless Im NOT running in front. the term "spider patrol" may come to mind as this is why the term was invented. the poor person who rides first here in Va. late Aug.- Sept. gets to clear the spider webs with their face and body for the rest of the pack and the spiders are still in the webs most of the time. big frakkers too. after Sept they stay in the webs all day so same deal and they seem to rebuild them right away too
