and the rocks won.

Those are from my little accident last week. I wonder if that tire would still be on the rim if it weren't a Specialized Fear Control. Couldn't get an in-focus pic of the crack(fairly small, actually) and dents in my lid and I didn't wanna gross anybody out with pics of my injuries. I'm photographically challenged when it comes to my wife's camera. Maybe I'll take pics of the scars, tho.

On a serious tip, think those CF spokes can be salvaged? I'm gonna try and get the LBS to hook up a new rim, but I haven't talked to them about it yet.

Just perch that bad boy on a curb and give it a good stomp It will go back to true (enough to ride )

If you have the wheel rebuilt may be use some Sapim CX-Ray spokes. Much better then the cf ones

K, I have no idea what that means. Then again, this wheelset is about 8 yrs old now(Spinergy SPOX). I'm just surprised I didn't toast it before last week.

Came up on a jump on a local trail(Hamilton Creek for locals) that I had avoided last time I rode there. It snuck up on me the first time so I stopped for a water break and just went around. It's only about a 2ft drop at the jump itself, but I was going as fast as I could and the vert distance was about 4ft where I landed. All I could think comin' up on the jump was, "Go big or don't go at all!" My nose was down a little more than it should have been and, when I landed, my front wheel hit an upright rock sticking out of the ground. Suspension, what little I have, bottomed out and the wheel turned left, throwing me over the bars. My friend was behind me and said all he saw was a huge cloud of dust when I hit the trail head and shoulder first. Can't wait to get back on that trail! Glad I've got extra wheelsets, too....
