Disc Brake Adapter

Have any of you tried this adapter?

https://www.discbrakeadapters.com/fs_....php?item_id=4

Looks like a quality piece, just wanted some first-hand opinion before placing the order.

I refuse to endorse add on frame adapters for discs.

No experience with that one but seems that at least you'll have to remove the QR completelly in order to remove the tire and looks flimsy.

I use an A2Z adapter in order to run a larger rotor on the rear and works fine. Also the company is good to deal with.

Hmmm, adding a rear disc really won't add too much overall stopping power. Bicycling magazine states that 70% of your stopping power comes from your front, so

a) the rear isn't a large part of your stopping power

and
b) it's easy to lock up the rear anyway with V's

So if you have to add this fairly expensive adapter it really doesn't seem worth it to me.

Because they're an expensive band-aid solution.
As others have said a Front Disc / Rear V setup is fine. It's roughly the same as having a disc / drum setup on a car (which most do).
