i had a chance to ride a norco XC bike a littlw while ago, it felt really nice, smooth suspension, light frame and at the same time didnt feel in the least weak. that said its not my thing and this is coming from a guy who likes to go down hills not up.
    2005 norco aline

trees: natures brakes(they work really well. although they kinda hurt)

I'd go Devinci myself, the 05 Norco XC's are garish IMO. Devinci makes a fine bike, know lots of people with Devinci road bikes, never a negative word about them.

I hope I am not too late. What are you using the bike for? I ride a DEvinci and it pretty much kicks ass. I have been hucking myself down the mountain for a month on it and it rides amazing. Strong and well assembled. I am 6'3'' 240 and it holds me well. I am giddy as a little school girl. See ya, I am off to the North Shore to continue this madness.......
I used to feel bad I had no brakes untill I passed a man with no seat

Well thanks to everyone one for the responses, the bikes will be orded in a few months from now , before november. I have decided to go with norco , so if anyone has any serious reasons not to, now would be the time to inform me. Well, thanks again.
